Animal and sports photography information and prices:

Animal Photo Sessions
Whenever possible I like to spend a little time getting to know your animal and then perhaps accompanying you both to, for example, a favourite spot for walking your dog. My charge for one of these photo sessions is from £40. This one-off charge varies according to what travelling is required and will have to be higher to reflect fuel costs if a round trip of over 50 miles is involved. I have no objection if you want to reduce this by getting together with someone else and sharing the cost of a session between you.

Buying photographs
Photographs may be ordered by using my order form if you wish. If you have any difficulty in accessing it, let me know and I shall send one to you by email or post. Please fill in the form and either post it to me or email it as an attachment. Don't forget to check that the correct print number, size, and finish are recorded properly for each photograph as I cannot give refunds on incorrect orders. I will reply to you confirming the order and the price.

You can, if you prefer, simply send me an email or a letter with the information that I require: event, image number, print size, finish (gloss or lustre), and any additional special instructions, for example, make the print black & white instead of colour. For digital images on CD, I simply need to know the event, image numbers, and whether you a different size of image. I will reply to you confirming your order and the price.

You should receive your prints within about two weeks, though large or complicated orders could take longer to process and may be slightly delayed if I need to be away from home around the time you send in your order.

Photographic print sizes
Note that the print sizes are not all of the shape, i.e. some are square, some are narrow rectangles, while the others are somewhere in between. I shall endeavour to crop the photographs to fit exactly the dimensions chosen. However, where this would result in an important part of the photograph being lost, I shall fit the image on to the paper with the best possible fit. This may mean that you will have a white border along two sides of the image. If you are worried by this, please contact me so that I can discuss the individual photo(s) with you. If I feel that the size you have chosen is unsuitable, I shall check with you before proceeding.

Prices for prints from swimming events are as follows:

Electronic (digital) images
The demand for images in electronic (digital) format is growing. I can provide images on CD, or email them to you if preferred. A word of warning though - if you want me to email them, you will need a broadband Internet connection as image files are typically between 500Kb and 1Mb each. Images will be sized for viewing on computer screens and this will be no more than 1024 pixels in height and 1400 pixels in width. These are maximum sizes and may be less according to the format of the image. If you require images resized to specific dimensions (e.g. to fit your computer screen's resolution), please let me know when ordering.

Please note that I retain the copyright of all photos distributed in digital form and any reproduction of these except for personal use is prohibited. These files are not intended for producing prints. If you require prints, please let me know. If any image is required for commercial printing or publication, please contact me for permission. In most cases I am happy to give permission, though I prefer to deal with the publishers directly.

Postage & Packaging
Postage & packaging for prints will be £4.95 unless the size and weight of the package is such that postage is substantially more. For orders of £50 or more, p&p will be free. I make no postage & packaging charge for CDs sent to a UK address. Outside of the UK, postage will depend upon actual cost.
